    Coeburn Cane's Early Present

Miami is looking like the Miami of old just a bit, thumping Texas A&M 24-0 in the 3rd.

    Re: Coeburn Cane's Early Present

As I was saying after watching the FIU game, its not Nix that is the problem, hes putting them into position to make plays, we just dont have playmakers at this point. We looked great tonight and hopefully we can sustain what we have. Still too many turnovers but its a start. I still believe it will be 2 years before Miami will return to where they had been. They should be pretty much favored or a small underdog to win the rest of their games. Kyle just has to keep it up.

They kept talking about the Oklahoma game, but as many 3 and outs as they had in that game with Kirby, theres a reason they gave up that many points. Miami is a 15-25 caliber team. Their season will be based upon being able to sustain drives because they just dont have the firepower to score quickly. Limit the turnovers and convert on 3rd and 5 or less and you probably end up with a 10-2, 11-1 type team. GT, FSU, and VT will be the tough games and thats not saying a whole lot these days.

Please stop calling out Darnell Jenkins too, he gets open and hes the best we have.

In reviewing the stats (did not watch the game), what the heck happened to Baby J?

Or was the A&M run D that good?

They just bottled up the run pretty well. He splits carries with Coop so his #s arent going to ever be that great to begin with. Cooper didnt do that much either but paded his stats with a long run. They are sort of like Davis and Spiller. The passing game was where the points came from so they stuck with it. They could have probably scored 50 if it wasnt for 3 fumbles.

Blue, would you say that was the best offensive performce since the Berlin era? Even at VT in 05, all the points came off of turnovers and Charlie Jones 3 yards at a time.
